My first intelligent robot project
was RAU - Remote Action Unit, which was a small robot to be
used in rescue or inspection operations.
It was made by aluminum with 23 x 20
x 19 cm and 11 kg. RAU was my dissertation and inside its
controller I built a fuzzy inference machine, using Mamdani
inference. The controller, based in 8051 microcontroller,
was programming in ANSI C language and deals with linguistic
variables like: near and far, turn to left a little , turn
to right a little for example.
RAU was also the first mobile robot
built in Santa Catarina, inside an university and it was presented
in Fenasoft fair in 1999.
Nowadays RAU is laid in my house, waiting
for a new "brother".
If you are interesting in my dissertation,
I have worked with fuzzy logic, microcontroller and C language,
you can download it here
(PDF), from Federal University of Santa Catarina
.
